AI Catalog Import

AI import removes the manual typing: upload a ready price list — in Excel, Word, PDF or even a photo — and the AI recognizes the names, prices and categories and proposes a plan that you just review and apply.

Open: Admin Panel → Catalog → Import (admin.masamenu.tr), or from the import section in the menu/catalog.

What you can upload#

Excel spreadsheets (.xlsx, .xls);
Word documents (.docx);
PDF price lists and menus;
Photos of a price list or menu pages;
CSV/TXT — if the columns are recognized, a fast path without AI is used.
Website URLs — import a whole catalog or a selected category.

Importing from a website#

Paste a site or category URL and select the scope: the whole catalog, including product pages, or just the selected category and its pagination. A whole-site pass accepts up to 20,000 items; you can stop it and review what has already been found. Category mode offers automatic pagination or a limit of 1, 5, 10 or 25 pages. Optional photo transfer imports up to eight images per product in the background after applying the plan.

How the import works#

Upload. Drag in a file or photo, or paste a website URL. For tabular CSVs with clear columns, the system offers a fast path with column mapping.
Recognition (AI). For documents and photos the file goes to the AI: it reads the content and extracts items, prices and descriptions. A ticker of recognized items shows the progress.
Change plan. The AI presents a ready plan — a list of items with name, price and category. Each row can be edited or deselected before applying. The plan identifies duplicates, builds category paths and prepares product variants and attributes.
Apply. Click import — new items are added to your catalog/menu and matching handles update existing products.

Fast CSV/TSV import without AI#

Map columns and preview the rows before importing. Shopify-style fields include the handle, title, description, vendor, category path, tags, publication status, up to three variant options, SKU, barcode, prices, cost, weight, stock, image and SEO text. Rows with the same handle form one product.

Unmapped columns leave existing data intact, so a price-only or stock-only file is useful for updates. Re-importing matching handles updates products and variants. Optional barcode lookup fills product names and vendors. Export downloads the catalog in the same CSV format, including full category paths.

Good to know#

New items count towards your plan limit. The preview shows the available capacity; excess new items are skipped when applying. Updating existing products uses no extra capacity. Import into an external supplier catalog is exempt from this catalog limit. AI recognition uses your AI balance; the tabular path needs no AI.
The plan is a draft: you control exactly what enters the catalog and edit any rows before applying.
Re-uploading is handy for updating prices and stock — you can import only the fields you need.
Photo recognition quality depends on how readable the shot is: the clearer the price list, the more accurate the plan.

FAQ#

Does the import change the catalog right away?#

No. First you see a change plan and can edit it; the catalog only changes after you apply the import.

What if the AI got a price or name wrong?#

Fix the row right in the plan before applying — your edits are kept on import.

Do I have to use AI?#

No. For CSVs with clear columns there's a fast path with manual mapping, no AI.
